I'm running VET anti-virus, it doesn't seem to have a problem, but a few other things abour SPOOLSV.EXE that i find suspicious are:
I can't kill the process using Task Manager <access denied>
when spoolsv is hogging cpu time there is a lot of unexpected network traffic from this machine.
Spoolsv.exe is hogging at least 50% of my cpu time and leaves applications that access the printer hanging with an incredibly slow screen redraw even on a 900Mhz system.
