NTVDM.EXE error
I had a similar problem with DOS apps in an NT4 environment. I suggest the Microsoft Knowledgebase as a good reference for NTDVM (NT Virtual DOS Machine). There is a substantial article on the subject. There may simply be a conflicting DOS application running.- Mongoose

Memory Overbooked
