No Sound Driver Found
My computer is generating no audio sounds. Also, I've noticed that the volume icon is missing from lower taskbar. I have performed a DirectX Diagnostic Tool test from the sound tab and it generated the following note, "DirectSound Test Results: Failure at step 3 (DirectSound Create)...- jmpc

Thank for your response. I have just executed the DirectX diagnostic tool procedure. Pointing to 'sound tab' and clicking on 'Test DirectSound' button displayed the following note,"DirectSound test results:Failure at step 3 (DirectSound Create): HRESULT = 0X88780078 (no driver). Any help...- jmpc

No Sound Emission from Speakers
I have a 4 speaker system with subwoofer connected to my computer. The speaker system is enabled and functional. However, there is no sound emission from speaker system when engaging application that should emit sounds output (i.e desktop music studio application). I am running Windows98 O/S. jmpc- jmpc
