I have never created a trigger, but I have been asked to research if this is possible. I have a table (which I cannot change) containing records with the following fields:Item ID, Field ID, Field Value
Each Item ID can have multiple records. There will always be a record for Field ID 59, for...
I have a bar chart which should show multiple bars per month, and the months are shown in correct order on the x axis. It works correctly the first time it is run, but after that it seems to change and only produces one bar per month. This also causes the range of months to appear over and over...
I'm not sure how CR 8.5 looks, but in version 9 I think you would use the Chart Expert. In Data selection (on the Data tab) you would have to select "For each record"- whatever it is that you are plotting. For "Show value(s)" you would pick your date field.
I need to create a line graph which plots values by week number along the x axis. I want the week numbers to be displayed at the bottom of the chart, but I need to have the year/month names at the top. Has anyone tried to do this?
Paul-
I would like to change the default thickness of the lines. In Crystal version 9 I don't have Chart Analyzer, but I can highlight each line and make the line thicker. This would be fine until more lines are generated. I think I would have to be constantly changing the graph and that would...
Paul-
I understand now exactly what you are saying and I was able to do it. This is great for when the number of lines on the graph grows. I would still like to be able to change the thickness of those lines, and I don't see a way to do this. The graph looks OK on my screen, but the lines are...
Dakotah,
Thanks for the reply, but I am not exactly sure about what you are telling me to do. Sometimes you mention the graph and sometimes you mention a report and sections, so I am confused. Can you please be more specific? I do know that I would never have more than 40 lines on my graph, so...
I did try that already. The problem is that the number of lines produced is dynamic and the report will be produced automatically and sent out to other people. I only have 3 lines right now, and I can change their individual thicknesses, but at any time there can be more and I can't have 3 lines...
I have a line graph which can have any number of lines, depending on the data. The lines are very faint, so is there a way to make all of the lines thicker automatically when the graph is produced, no matter how many there are? I know I can select each line separately and change the way it looks...
I can also solve your problem of too many titles on the x-axis with this version of Crystal....
Highlight the date.
Right click and go to Chart Options/Grid.
Click on "Group Axis" tab on left side of box.
Click on "Labels" tab at top of box.
Check off "Use Manual Number...
I have Crystal Reports 9 and I can show the labels vertically by doing this:
Click on a date until it is highlighted.
Right click on the date.
Go to Chart Options/Selected Item.
A Formatting screen comes up and the Font tab lets you select rotation.
I need to create a line graph from a table which contains the following fields:
Division
Week number
# of homes
The graph should only print once on the report with a line for each division. The x axis should have the week number, and the y axis should have the # of homes. It also must have a...
I am creating a line graph in CR9, and am having a problem with the legend. I want the legend to be at the bottom of the graph, so I chose that option but the legend size needed to be changed to show the values the way I would like them to look. I re-sized the legend box, saved the report, and...
