Clear trunk 180
that command clears "Vlans allowed on trunk"
I am trying to set the NATIVE vlan to 1 rather than 180
as I have a vlan mismatch ....
See below:
4006Console> (enable) show trunk 3/17

My native vlan is set to 180 I think it should be set to 1 (like) all the other trunks:

mjinks61 thanks for the reply!
Alls well that ends well.
I got the software free from
http://www.ntfs.com/boot-disk.htm
It took literally 5 minutes to walk up stairs boot off the disk, rename the password file and slip into the gui.
With Iomega Zip 250, I copied the files needed.
As it...
Thanks to all!
What turned out to be the Quickest easiest approach is the post from CharlWilson.
When I came up to the Administrator login I hit "enter" no password needed.
I tried to install a Sony CDRW to copy the files off to a CDR but the SYTEME said I needed Administrator...
Our NT support guy says he doesn't know how one would get there hands on a "ntfs dos bootable floppy".
But it sounds interesting...
He was on his way up to reinstall NT on the sytem in question, I asked him to hold off for a bit maybe I could find out how that is done..
First, thanks for a reply!
When you initalize an IDE disk you run FDISK on it and in order to make it bootable, the FDISK program will ask you if you would like to make this partition ACTIVE.
This is only with and IDE drive.
When you have two "ACTIVE" partitions, my experience has...

I have heard of compatibilty issues between the clients modem, and the servers modem. Just something to consider...
Find out what modem the ISP recommends also what kind of modem the Laptop has...
Are you buying "Winmodems" vice standard or "any OS" modem.
Those are simple...
I prefer 98SE over ME myself, however,
normally you want to get your drivers together before you migrate...been there down that tooooo.
Try a Google search on FM-56PCI/MT-US see where it takes you I think to a win98 driver.
Pick on of the Devices with a question mark
and "install a new driver" to it. Try using your modem drivers where it says have disk.
I have had this problem a number of times for different devices.
Try looking on the web for newer drivers for your modem,
that maybe what ME is using...
I have a Legacy TV Tuner/ VIDEO capture cardcard that says Philips on the tuner RF Shielded tin, FR1236, Chips is Bt848KPF...

It is very possible as Cindy said that Keyboard port might be bad, a bad solder joint, controler chip!!
Take the keyboard to your neighbors house and try it there...what are neighbors for? Or sneak to your public library try it there...Just kidding.
Good luck
First thanks for the insight.
With help from my SA we loaded the UUCP from Foundation 1.
For pitys sake I rebooted.
did a whereis cu /usr/bin
ran the command cu -l /dev/ttyd1 just as you said I have checked my cable it is null modem, and got the following:
Connect failed: NO DEVICES AVAILABLE...
You might try another video cable, or check for pushed pins.
Also I think you meant SVGA, yes?
Also get a multi meter and an accurate pin out, and Ohm out the cable.
We have lots of indys, it amazes me how tempermental those video cards are. and expensive.
FYI,
We actually can connect a Wyse terminal to the console port on the Tadpole 40 card. But we prefer to use the Indy since it is always available as our file server for the TP40 card...
I will check out the man pages, as you mentioned.
Thanks.
Actually, when you don't have the IP address, you can't telnet in.
The Card (cpu) we are trying to console into is a TP40 card.
We are able to use a PC and Hyperterminal to the Comm ports, but we want to be able to duplicate this on an Indigo.
Thanks...
I want to use the serial port com1 on and to talk to a console on another computer.
I need to know what command to type from a unix shell to open a console session? at 9600,8,n,1,n
