Many thanks to Daron Wilson. I got 1000 feet of the commscope cable for $125. It's just what I was looking for--cheaper than the double jacketed stuff and much easier to work with.- hilarymcclure

Has anyone seen an outdoor UV resistant cat5 cable that doesn't have the double jacket and the gel? They make it for telephone cable, so why not for cat5? I have a spool of the outdoor stuff, but I hate using it because it is so stiff and large diameter. If you just need part of a cable run to...- hilarymcclure
