I don't know if this is possible but the delivered search engine for PS is verity. You can probably just load it onto your site and use its capabilities. Or just include your site in some of the search text within the application.

If you created the crystal report through the PSQuery tool you won't need any additional security setup. This is the method by which PS supports creating new crystal reports. Otherwise, you might consider using a view to generate the crystal report with security built into the view.
