Here is the situation: I am loading (successfully) ASCII files from a UNIX server onto Oracle 8i database. Also loading dimensions and facts successfully.
I have set up OWB reposirory and Runtime repository in Oracle 8i as "Owbdev" and "Owbrun" oracle...
I have used the SQLTXT Designer in Decision Stream which I find very easy in use and provides good functionality.

I agree with blom0344 that DECODE is Oracle's "if" statement.
I also agree with xuewei that DECODE doesn't work in OWB as i have tried to use it.
