I have an application where it might be advantageous to run voice over our VPN for an international location-I've heard lots of ugly-so bring it on-the good, the bad, the ugly-thanks!
If price is a real consideration and you are fairly telecom savvy as far as maintneance Fujitsu is no longer making the F9600 but they are being supported by Avaya for a VOIP option to it. You should be able to get a good deal on a used one.
My company is currently using a BRI ISDN(bonding at 128K) for videoconferencing- it has been spotty at best and the manufacturer is recommending upping the bandwidth to a fractional T1 at 384K. Does that sound like overkill? Also has anyone used videoconferencing on a VPN? Thanks
Yes this question makes it quite clear i have NO manuals for the indivual phones on this system. What is the code to call forward incoming calls from one extension to another? Thanks in advance for this simple question:-)
I am currently doing an evaluation of VOIP vs current PBX(or upgrading) for a client and I've run into a stumbling block. While I have found plenty of info on the plus side of VOIP as well as security risks that could be a negative does anyone have specific information on performance problems...

Everyone thanks-pansophic thanks especially for the links evaluating security risks. Now if I could only find articles talking about reliabilty issues I'd be set-gee VOIP must not have any problems and work perfectly since I can't find one-lol!
Can anyone point me in the direction of a site or tech articles that made a clear case against VOIP(i.e. caveats/risks/performance problems/reliability problems)? Thanks
