Hi, I have NIM setup but never have used it for an upgrade. I want to try to upgrade a client from 5300-05 to 5300-06. I have all the lpp sources and SPOTs and am planning to use the alt_disk_install method. Would I do the upgrade using smit nim_bosinst and the rte installation type? Thx!!

Hi, I just did a migration upgrade from 5.2 to 5.3 ML4 on an lpar on a p650. No problems with the upgrade but now Dynamic Logical Partitioning is not an option on the lpar. lssyscgf show DLAR is NO on the hmc. How can I fix this? tia

I am new to the EMC SAN world. I've successfully expanded an exsisting LUN by creating a MetaLUN on the SAN. The exsisting LUN is configured in AIX as hdiskpower2. I've ran cfgmgr but it does not see the new space. Anyone know how to get AIX to recognize the new space? TIA
