    Users Loseing Desktop Settings when joing domain.

    The problem is that after joing a domain some users lose there desktop shortcuts and favorites and programs in the start menu, is there any way to stop this and keep the users system settings from when they weren't in the domain? Thanks.

    I can browse the internet and local network, it's a full install. If I had all the updates I would think it would still let me into the windows update site and let me scan for updates, at least that's what the XP machines I have seen do that.
