Those two particular settings in Excel Options, Advanced, are listed with the specific document chosen in the drop-down box just above the two checkboxes.
That didn't work for me. It applies the Advanced settings to the workbook or worksheet that is currently open and then the setting defaults back to unchecked. When I open the wk4 file in Excel, it is unreadable. It doesn't convert to Excel.
I use Lotus Notes 6 and Symantec Antivirus Corporate Edition on my computer and send emails to several people who use Outlook Express and MacAfee. Until recently, those people received my emails just fine. They recently upgraded their version of MacAfee/Outlook Express and/or purchased a new...
I contacted our national Help Desk first and they suggested that it must be something in my settings or preferences because I had the same person e-mail something to another person with the same domain as mine and they got the e-mail, but I did not.
I can't receive e-mail from an address that contains @comcast.net. As far as I can tell, this is the only address I can't receive from and I've tried many different things, including emptying my Junk folder, deleting all my Quick Rules, and checking to make sure I don't have that domain...
I'm getting the same message ("File is too large (32K) or view's column & selection formulas are too large.") when I simply open Notes the first time of the day. I'm using Notes 6.5.1. The error initially started a few weeks ago while I was creating a Quick Rule and now it displays at...
Yes, the number would technically change to 55555.67, except I was trying to capture the number of digits before and after the decimal. Probably a bad idea on my part. Thanks!
I'm trying to merge data from an Excel worksheet into a Word document. The information in Excel was input using five numbers, decimal, six numbers, but the cells are formatted to display as a Number, 2 decimal places, comma separator. When I merge the Excel data into the Word letter, it comes...
The best I can tell from all the event logs I viewed which were created at the time when the patch was installed is that Microsoft Office Professional Edition 2003 was "configured", QuickView Plus was removed and reinstalled, Symantec AntiVirus was updated, a Security policy was applied, and...
No. They don't tell us that information. It automatically runs from a "channel" using a program called Miramba. Is there a log or other place I can view and find out what it was?
It was a clean install. External modem. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the modem several times myself. Thanks for responding. I was hoping you might read my message and try to help me. I'm the same person who couldn't get the modem to work at all with XP Pro, and you were trying to help...
I have recently upgraded my operating system to XP Professional and am using the same hardware I was using with 2000. However, sending and receiving faxes has slowed down considerably. I have USR V.90 56k Standard and x.2 Compatible modem. It is taking me over a minute a page to receive...
This upgrade was done at my place of employment and they have technology folks who come in and do this overnight. We drop off our computer at 5:00 and pick it up at 8:00. There is an automatic backup program that runs and our information is "migrated" from the old hard drive to the new one...
No, it isn't fixed, so I'm going in a different direction now--trying to troubleshoot the software. I have reinstalled and I've even looked at the Fax Properties dependencies to make sure they are all running in auto. Not sure where to go from here, but I still can't send or receive a fax...
I followed your instructions and got thru to a log-in prompt. This is what my screen said:

I'm not very familiar with hyperterminal. Can you tell me exactly what to do so I can try what you've suggested and get back to you with the results? Thanks!
I just upgrade my operating system to XP Pro and cannot seem to get any external modems to functions properly. I have tried 2 different external modems and one internal modem. The fax sending to me displays "poor line condition" on its confirmation page. My receiving fax(es) indicates that it...
With my job, we have documents that are created and updated all the time for our clients. At the end of the process, we create a PDF that includes the color letterhead and signature. We are not allowed to save the document that way. Previous to this upgrade, we were never asked to save before...
