Turned out to be an error on the Unix box that SQL didn't like, but Excel and Access didn't care about.
I rebuilt the links on the Unix box and it worked again.
Thanks!

I have a DTS package set to run as a Job manually, it has two steps: Step 1 is to update the database via ODBC, and step two launches another program to import that data into a program called SysPro TotalFactory.
When I run the job:
on the server (windows login is Administrator, the SQLAgent...
I setup the DTS package and worked out the bugs to it. I turned on the Schedule for it, removed the schedule step, and ran it manually from the Jobs icon. It worked just fine, no errors.
I then tried to run the Job from a remote client from SEM, the entire job ran without any errors, but I had...
After setting up 2 new local users on the server, Tserver1 and TempServer2, I Logged in as both, the accounts work correctly and both have Admin privileges.
I need to copy the Administrator profile to Tserver1, so i logged in as TempServer2 and under System Properties, went to the Advanced tab...
If you can't access it from the Exchange server, go into Admin Tools/Services and restart World Wide Web Publishing Service.
If you still can't get to it, can you get to the default web site of the server from within your network? Or even OWA without SSL?
Try this link for some more ideas...
If your link is accurate, then you need to add:
/exchange
If /exchange was implied then to help you further I need to know:
Point of access: From outside the network? or from the LAN?
Can you access SSL OWA on the server?
If from outside the network, was the firewall re-configured to allow...
Well, it seems that the pdf in question can be opened on any computer except the one that needs to open it.
Every time it's tried the OPEN button is greyed out, and as mentioned earlier the save button doesn't work.
What would allow that OWA account on another pc to open the .pdf (I tried...
Looks like it worked in allowing me to open the .pdfs. Doesn't let me right click and save target as, but being able to open them is a huge improvement.
Thanks!

The original message was from one of our customers, I cannot open the attachment from that email in OWA. In the headers (Opened in O2k) it says:
(IBM AS/400 ANYMAIL/400 MIME V5R1M0)
MIME-Version: 1.0
I think its a good bet that it's mime encoded.
In O2k, if I save that attachment to the...
I installed the rollup last Saturday, checked a few things out and it looked like everything was ok. The one thing I didn’t check was .pdf files as attachments in OWA (Checked Excel and Word only, they worked fine).
Now when I go to open an OWA based email with a .pdf, I right click on the...

I agree, it just seemed strange. Not enough power to the video card perhaps, this TI4200 has a built in fan on it.
If there wasn't...
The symptons started 2 days ago, after about 4-5 hours the system would freeze up solid, only when using IE6. Yesterday that time frame dropped to about 15min after booting, again while useing IE6. I was able to do other things in windows, vid cap, games, 3dmark, etc. Ran a dos based memcheck...
Well, I tried one more thing: OWA on the Exchange/Win2k server itself. Opens in about 5 seconds with IE6.
Still takes 4 1/2 min on Win2k Pro/IE6 and 5 seconds with Netscape.
I'm stumped.
Tyson
I just downloaded the SP1 fix for IE6, it made no difference in OWA load time (still 4 1/2 min). Netscape 7.0 is still clocking in at 5 seconds.
My version of IE6 is:
6.0.2600.1106
Cipher: 128bit
Update versions: SP1
What settings are in IE that are not in Netscape that would cause such a slow...
On a whim, I decided to download Netscape 7.0 and try it on my machine. It opened OWA in 10 seconds. I then logged off and closed Netscape, opened IE and tryed it again -5 min.
ALL on the same machine/network connection. My IE browser version is: 6.0.2600.0000
Cipher: 128bit
Update versions...
Hi all,
I'm using Win2k server with SP2, Exchange Server 2000 with SP3, SSL through a PIX 506 firewall.
When I started installing some new pc's at our remote location (Compaq EVO's with Win2ksp2 and all winupdate downloads except for SP3) I noticed immediately that OWA access through a 128k...
