We installed Access on one of our servers and uninstalled/installed on the PCs in question. It worked fine. We were unable to share the database that existed soley on a PC, but are able to share a database from an NT server.
We are trying to get our Access 97 database shared on multiple computers. We have changed everything in Access that was required. They are still coming up in read-only. We even set up a dummy db, same thing. We saw a file name the same as the dummy db with .ldb extention. Does this mean locked...
We have two separate databases-forms & data. We have chosen the 'shared' mode. It will still only let one user access the database at a time. The others still come up in read-only. Any other suggestions?
Every time another user on another computer accesses this database, it comes up read only if it is already open on another computer. How do you share this database between multiple users?
