ah ok, I mis-understood, I thought your were asking how to create tables.
Probably best to sit down with good old pen and paper and work out first what data you wish to store. Then look at splitting that into various tables. For example you might like to have a employee table for basic...
errm I'm afraid your probably not going to get a lot of help on this one.
The best thing to do is try to get yourself on a training course to learn the techniques involved in creating tables, queties etc. Or their are also a lot of tech yourself books out their that might help you. Perhaps go...
The database wasn't actually written by me, I sorted of just inherited it! But the person who created it, had no knowledge of VBA, so has used a lot of macros and some very odd ways of dealing with the date's.
So I think I might try to recreate them using VBA and use the standard mm/dd/yyyy...
Hi Everyone,
I have a database which is used in ten different countries across Europe and Asia, and recently been having problems with different countries using different date formats. One example is one country would have their standard date format as 1.04.2005 another as 01.04.2005 and maybe...
You could try setting you list box control source linked to a query that is seperate from your form control source. That was as you move through the records the list box control will not move.
Hi Everybody,
I have an odd problem with Access 2002.
I am unable to filter a form by using the following code on the Load Event for the form.
Dim filter1 As date
filter1 = InputBox("Please enter a date to filter data by (e.g. 19/09/2003)?", "Spoilage")
Me.Filter =...
Hi,
I have an access database that exports a reports data using the Output To command, then I have created a series of Macro's in Excel and placed them in the Personal.XLS file. Since they need to run for many different excel file names.
The Excel Macros work fine, but after Access run's the...
Nope no formatting, but their was another similiar post in that somebody found the soultion by removing the group by in the query, whilst I simply created a new query which was defined in a slighly different way to get round the problem.
But it does seem to be some sort of bug.
Nope just a simple query based on another query, but it's ok because I've found another way around the problem. It just seemed to be a problem with this particular query, as to why it thought about only displaying the first 255 of a memo field I have no idea.
Hi Steve,
I've done some more investigates and it looks like the problem might come from the query. The report is based on a query, and the query seems to chop off the memo field at 255.
So try creating a query that uses your report and see what you get then.
Hi,
I'm having a problem with a memo field which is being cut-off on a report after 255 charectors in Access 2002.
I've had a search around and it appears that other people are having the same problem, I couldn't find anything about this on the microsoft knowledgebase.
Does anybody know of...
I don't believe it has anything to do with dates because I tried it out and it gave me the same result.
This criteria works
Between #01/06/2003# and #06/06/2003#
but this does not
Between [Date 1] and [Date 2]
But I need to use the second expression so that the user can enter the date's...
Tried that but it didn't seem to make a difference, I tried various forms of format and I still seem to get the incorrect selection of dates.
For example if I ask for a date range between 01/06/2003 and 05/06/2003, I will get something like this
01/06/2003
01/05/2003
05/03/2003
04/04/2004...
