Hi,
A client submitted a CorelDraw 10 file. The particulars: 24 page, 4/4, 5.5 x 8.5. At work I use (among others) a PC operating XP Professional. I have dedicated about 68% of 256MB of RAM and am using two drives for SWOP or SCRATCH (if you will). This computer (node) is...
To set the beginning of a section be on the page the section begins/Page/Section enter the number the page number. This may be done numerous times. Let freedom ring!
justjim,
What is happening is this: Download Accelerator by Speedbit prompts me to download Regular or Accelerated. I cancel the order THEN the sound cashes and plays. Hummm. I remember coding the background sounds in a 10 web page presentation. The only problem? when page 2, 3, 4, 5 loaded the...
I need to find out what the devil is wrong with this script. This script is telling Internet Explorer (IE) to download the mp3 instead of play it in the background!

From what I read the bloat maybe due to a stroke inadvertantly (sp) being applied. With the size of the type a san-serif type should be used -- but being it a vector size should not matter. Hah! Let freedom ring!
I have read white papers on the newest technologies for printing processes. There are presses now that use six colors to achieve the same color space as RGB, however the presses are very expensive and not readily available in the USA -- Mostly in the Far East. Let freedom ring!
I, too have not worked in PS4 in years. Blueark -- was there Grey Component Removeal and or Under Color Removeal in color settings? I just today had to create a two color snap from a process file. It was rather tricky with channels at first. Then I changed the snap to RGB -- set the Grey...
Try this: When placing a graphic press SHOW FILTERS. Up the preview resolution to 600dpi. Non postscipt printers print the preview. Most of the previews are set at 72dpi. The file will take a while to place and will be rather large but the result will be appealing. Let me know how this works...
In addition to that thought: Press CTRL + Y look at Auto Picture Import. Make sure you change that to ON(Verify). Factory default is OFF. Whenever a file is open Quark will not look for any changes in graphics if this OFF. I constantly have to change customer files. Let freedom ring!
The best format to burn a CD is ISO 9660 (allow MAC names)or MAC - PC hybred. This will leave the names alone and a MAC and PCs can read them. If the printer put the CD in a MAC chances are the names were trunkated. Also look to see if the names are all CAPITALS. This too is a problem without...
Only on a PC can graphics be embedded in Quark. I had a customer with the same problem. She embedded all graphics then trash the pix not knowing to LINK them. We get rather large file where I work but the Quark file itself should not be that size. Keep me posted. BTW your file will still fit on...
I created a test doc using A4, not knowing the size of A3. The factory settings are:
SPACE MIN=85 OPT=110 MAX=250
CHAR =0% =0% =4%
You might reduce the hypenation zone to .062" or use ragged right instead of justification. Quark is not known for it's...
This is not possible in Quark. The only way to create this illusion is to use a photobox with wrap. Then use another text box placed over the photobox. Adjust accordingly. Also the factory default for all boxes is a 1 point wrap which fills the center with while automatically. I alter the text...
Tony this is alfral. . .to paraphrase: As for option 1... ? Alfral... what is this meant to do? All it gives me is an upside down exclamation point. And what is the point of reducing the size of the digts? ISn't this what super and subscripts does for you? Or have I missed something?
I think...
