It depends on which Manufacturer you talk to. We are Mitel reps so I say look at the Mitel 3300 ICP for IP and TDM sets or the never destructable SX-2000 for TDM sets. If you have a call center then the Mite is your switch.

With the Legend you can have MFM's Multi function modules on the bottoms of the MLX telephones. These are alternate extensions to the extension for things like modems and such.

Touch Tone Tommy has got it. So long as you subscibe to Centrex that also has the "outside to Outside" or "Trunk to Trunk" feature on the lines yhis will work. Contact your LEC to confirm the feature is avaialble and turned on.
More information is needed to answer this question, for instance:
Has the call already been nswered by another extension.
Is the phone that answered a single line set or a key set.
Or do you really want an outside trunk or DID to be answered on the 016TR.
Or is the voicemail transfering the...
I would tell your supplier to replace it. But before you relinquish it make a copy of the database (if there is a floppy drive in it). Sounds to me like it will one day not re-boot.
I am attempting to upgrade a customer to Release 7 from Release 1. There is no PCMCIA card in R1 so I am trying to convert the saved data file from R1 to R7. SPM (Ver. 4.0)say's I can do it and "converts" the information but does not save it to the file name I have created. HELP!
