I am experimenting with IPsec tunneling between Win2k server and a Cisco router. No problem establishing a tunnel and exchanging traffic. However Win2k appears to have an activity timer that deletes SAs after 5 to 10 minutes of low or no traffic, regardless of the rekeying intervals set for IKE...
I use Cisco VPN 3000 concentrator as a PPTP server. Win2k PPTP clients connect to the VPN 3000 OK, but often have problems remaining connected. Analysis shows that the client usually sends Echo-requests to the server every 60 sec but sometimes the delay between Echo-requests can be up to 90 sec...

I am transporting X.25 calls to and from a 2500 router using XOT over frame relay. No X.25 host computer is connected to the router. How can I configure the router to originate/terminate the calls and perform encap/decap of IP datagrams in the X.25 calls? Thanks.
This alleged problem is with the switch itself. I am told that, after a SPAN port is configured, certain data such as TFTP transfers passes through the switch intermittently. There was no problem before the SPAN port. Ever hear of anything like that? Thanks.
I am trying to configure a SPAN port to monitor traffic on certain switch ports with an external sniffer. I have had reports that after enabling the SPAN port, the switch is dropping traffic on the monitored ports. Does anyone know of problems like this when using SPAN ports? Thanks.
