Hello:
I'm considering writing an app in Powerbuilder and I need it to be compatible with both PC and Mac.
I've read that it is able to do that. Is this true? Is it difficult to make the exes, etc?

Does anyone know how to keep Not_flushed_key_blocks from mysqladmin extended-status down to 0.
It seems that once that gets above 0 it never gets back down and that any query run on my main indexed table gets like for like 200 seconds.
any ideas?
thanks,
Scott

Hello All:
I just found out that linux misrepresents the memory usage with Top. First, is this true? Second, is there a way to fix it.
For example, if I run top and look at the output I see that a certian process's RSS value is like 26M, but if I look there may be 5 threads running with the...
The two domains are:
www.investordetective.com
www.findout.net
They both need to point to:
208.31.225.140
I never know what they are going to out on the net.
For me they normally work.
Thanks.
Hello All:
I'm trying to find a way to speed up my cgi. I manager a series of very busy web sites that are cgi and mysql based.
I was experimenting with FastCGI and could not find a way to do both cgi and fast cgi at the same time unless I named the fast cgi stuff with a .fcgi or something...
I have given you all the netstat data that was displayed.
the last line:

is pointing to the gateway out ... If you see something that is wrong with it, let me know. Maybe an example of how it should look would be good.
I have...
Hello:
I have two machines running identical version of MySQL and running indentical databases, etc.
Yet, one machine's daemon size per thread is 26M while the other is 2 megs at most.
I'd like to get the 26m one down to 2 megs or so. Since during really busy times a lot of threads are...
Hello:
I have a tcp/ip network setup at home and I just added a linux workstation. I have it setup so it uses a gateway (ISDN router) to get to the net.
I can surf via a browser, but when I try to ping I don't get anything. Same with telnet.
Any ideas?

Hello All:
I trying to figure out why my mysqld daemon is so large. If I do a top while a query is running I noticed that the RSS value for mysqld is like 24M.
Any ideas what could cause this?
Thanks
Hello:
A while ago I had a domain hosted at a company called 9netave. The domain was www.findout.net
I have since setup my own servers and am hosting all my sites on those. I requested that the findout account be terminated by 9net and I set it up on my servers. I then switched the DNS and...

when I run isamchk it says:
isamchk: Error Key at wrong position at page ...
and
isamchk: Error keypointers and records don't match ...
Anyone have any ideas?

Thanks for the info. I'm working on figuring out how to safely do the MySQL upgrade and try to optimize the code by possibly compiling it. I'll look in to PHP.<br><br>Thanks,<br>Scott
