    dns setup to eliminate using www

    I am new to DNS and want to configure dns to find web sites using domain.com verses using www.domain.com. I have Advanced server 2000, IIS and DNS loaded on the server. If anyone knows of a quick start guide that I can access or download off the web, it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

    Jim I have tried several tapes for both tape drives. None of the tapes have the write protect tab enabled. John

    Patw I am logged in as root. The tape device permissions are: crw-rw-rw, group=sys, owner=sys. I have tried a travan ide tape drive, travan scsi tape drive and now a seagate scsi tape drive. The existing scsi controller is a Adaptec 2940. Both existing scsi controller and scsi tape drive...

    I receive this error .....i/o error on write (): permission denied (error 13)..... when performing a write to tape device xStp1 either with tar or cpio. I can write the same files to floppy without the error. Any help would be appreciated.
