I believe that this is a bug. So, the only way to fix it is to log it with your Progress serial number at http://www.progress.com/support/tsd/quick_log.htm

I would suggest you to go to Progress Knowledge Base at
http://www.progress.com/services/support/cgi-bin/techweb-kbase.cgi/webkb.p
and search for "java.lang.ClassNotFoundException".
You probably need to change your CLASSPATH.
