We have a quad E480 server with 2 Gb RAM and two raid 5 arrays. When we run iostat -x at hourly intervals there is an average of 2 in the %b field. When we look at iostat -x over a shorter period, say 10 seconds, %b increases to 80. When this occurs the run queue increases to > 10. Does anyone...- djclark

I'm not positive that I know what you mean by "a new instance" except that you probably want it to actually be a template where they can use it but not edit it. One way to do it is to lock the document so that they can't edit it unless they know how to unlock it. This is a feature of...- djclark
