Try using XCDROAST. I find it is a good s/w in gui. But i have not used usb port. XCDROAST displays the device info also. -- seshagiri- grsgiri

Setting up NFS ...
try to check /etc/resolv.conf. This helped me in configuring lin-lin nfs. i did not try with solaris. regards- grsgiri
