I am writting a DLL and I would like to pop up a message box for debugging purposes, yet the IDE tells me that "Name 'messagebox' is not declared."
What am I missing? I can get the DLL to display a form, why not a messagebox?
To do that, you need a class with in your class.
Pardon my sample. I am typing off the the top of my head here so there is no syntax checking. Its just to give you an idea.
Class2
Public Function ReadDBType1(recno as short) as string
' do your stuff
end function
end class
Class...
THe directory you are referring to is probably /etc/httpd/conf/httpd.conf
Just copy your new httpd.conf file there and apache should use it.
Next, make sure PHP is even installed on your machine. If you are sure it is, you can run it without apache just to make sure its executing properly...
Alan,
Ping localhost: Check
Ping other workstations on "this" this of the firewall: Check
Ping outside firewall: Fail.
Ok some more questions for you. Are you computers broken up into groups? For example. Here we have one internet gateway/router/firewall. We have 5 locations...
It doesn't look like Zenworks of any kind is installed. I didn't set this system up. I will see if I can find the discs and install it. Thank you both for the tips.
Well the only setting in XP I can think of is the TCP/IP protocol loaded, but it clearly is by your ability to ping other workstations.
This could be an addressing problem. What is your IP address for this machine along with its subnet mask? What is the IP adress and subnet mask on a...
Ok, you can ping other workstations but not out on the internet. That sounds like a default gateway problem.
You also mentioned a firewall, if your default gateway is set the same as the other workstations, then check the firewall. Is there a rule to block your IP? Do you need to authenticate...
Oh, didn't I mention? I wanted an answer that I liked. Hahahaha :-)
To the best of my knowledge we don't own ZenWorks. Is there any other way? I thought about creating a server process that would look for logins and create accounts but I think that is going to be more work than its worth...
I am confused (what else is new). You say it can see the network, but it cannot connect to the network. That seems to be a contradiction to me.
Now do you mean you can see other workstations on the network but cannot browse the internet? Try droping to the command prompt and type:
tracert...
Finding new workstations with Win98 on them is getting too hard and we are, with much resistance, moving "up?" to XP workstations on our Netware 5 network. The primary problem we are encountering is that each workstation may have multiple users and we do not always know ahead of time...
I am wrtting a usercontrol that manages the reading and writting of records to a table. It validates data and handles security and what not. In addition to this, I would like to provide a method that, when called, pops up a form that gives the user a nicely done editing screen to add and...
Thanks mrregan.
I can see by your great answer that I was not clear on how this works.
The application is a windows app. Harcoded to print to a particular printer name. I can change the queue to which the printer prints so that it can print to the Linux/Samba machine or to a Novell print...
I have need of a short term fix. I have a program, that when I print, I need the report to print out on two seperate printers. I know... change the program, or have the user print twice. Well... In this case its a legacy program and I do not have access to the code and the printing routines...

I have just about finished a program where everything revolves around a MSFlexGrid control. I would like some way to indicate to the user on which column and direction the data is sorted. In other MS programs (like Outlook) there is a small arrow that points up or down in the column header...
in my log when I ftp in (i am using the wu-ftpd daemon as well), my log says the the deamon was ftpd so try this in your host.allow file
in.ftpd: ALL
*fingers crossed*
You are right about the host.allow, but just to double check that it is the host.allow that is causing the problem, try taking out the all:all in the deny file just to see. If you do that and still can't get in then you know you can stop pulling your hair out and look somwhere else.
