grinding noise on start up
Reply to Edfair and unixuser: We tested to see if it was the fans by disconnecting the fans and then switching on the CPU for a few seconds, the noise was there so we know that the grinding noise is not the fans. Why does my computer make grinding/whining noises on start up and sometimes after it has been quiet for a long while? It's not the fans - we ran tests on the fans and they are okay.- gandha
