Arcserve 2000, restores fails when restoring from a large session
I flashed the tape driver by using TSMC (Tape Storage Management Console, from HP). Using this tool you can flash the tape units 'on the fly' from within Windows. CA told us to go to firmware 2E2E, cause this would solve our problems. Normally we would flash by using a floppy disk, but the...- mwillart

What is teh firmware of the tapeunits? I've had same kind of problems, and after applying the latest firmware to my Compaq SDLT Units (v46 2E2E) it looks like it's solved (See also 'E63000 & E3717 Errors with SDLTs'). Grz, Mario- mwillart

Hi, I too had the problems mentioned: we have a tape raidset (2xSDLT, Raid0) and backup is going well, but when we want to restore, exactly one hour after we start to restore, the restore job fails. We opened a call at CA, and started testing further. We also looked for the v46 firmware upgrade...- mwillart
