Access 97 Report Display Error Message
I believe that I have seem this error when there is a problem with the printer driver for your default printer. Access uses the driver to format reports in Print Preview, therefore, if there is a problem with the driver, there is a problem displaying reports. Try reinstalling the printer...- peterbilt

What version of Access are you using. There is an "issue" with Access 2000 and later that prevents importing (or presumably linking) to text files that do not have certain, pre-determined file extensions. This is not a bug, but a change in the design of Access to help prevent users...- peterbilt
