I am not a phone guy or anything and looking for a place to see what the pinouts should be for a rj11 jacks if I want to wire a simple loopstart line or DID. I know they only involve two wires, but on which pins to they go on one of those rj11's.
I know you voice guys are laughing, but a web...
Have a Linksys WRT55AG on a working static IP internet DSL connection. Can serf the web all day long with pc connected to the Linksys. Getting and internal IP of 192.168.1.something from the Linksys and it all works fine. But when I try to use my corporate SecureID token to create a vpn IPSEC...
Know how to lower the voice storage (audio) no problem, but text storage is in the 90's % and need to lower that. Any ideas??????????????????????????
It's a MM 12.10
Your best best is quite simply to get the CCNP Exam Guides from Cisco and go over them and over them and over them the whole while creating your flash cards. I find that I am able to come up with about 750 flash cards per test. Passed all of them doing nothing but that.
There is a parameter under Profiles Branch Office under the group Connectivity settings when you click on the 'configure' button to the right of /base group. Under Connectivity there is a Bandwidth Policy section where you set the Committed Rate and the Burst Rate. It is a drop down menu...
I have a nm-1T3/E3 module in my 2851, but cannot figure out how to configure the darn thing. Anyone done one similar?
When I do a sh run I see two tunnel interfaces (tunnel1 and tunnel3) but can't figure out what on earth to do with them.
Any clues?
Thanks.
I need to set up a distribute list between multiple sites involving multiple PBX's. How do you do that? Some place that has a doc on how to do it or can someone explain it fairly well?
Thanks
First, I am wanting to know what I can look at to see if a Meridian PBX/voice mail is AMIS capable, and secondly, when is there a white paper or something that spells out how to do voice mail distribute lists?
I have an internal dialing plan where you dial 8 and seven digits to dial internal between sites with the first 3 of those digits being site specific. For example, 8-200-1000 calls our headquarters site and 1000 is the operator. And that is an SPN in all the remote sites that is set up so that...
We replaced, in the Opt 11, the PRI card, clock daughterboard, and dch dautherboard. The T1 is usable but the calls sound crackly and worse than a cell phone call and the 81c end is still spitting out the framing errors I posted originally like crazy.
Also, as for the link, it is over our...
On the Opt 11 the clocking says it is locked to slot 9, which is the pck. I reset the counters and it didn't take 10 minutes for it to be back to over a 100 framing loss ticks.
???????
I have a T1 between an Opt 81c and an Opt 11 that shows to be idle and no alarms, but it will not allow calls, and I keep getting these errors filling up the screen concerning it.

I have Contivities and I was told by Nortel support that you can mutlinet with 6.0 code, but I have not been able to get it to work.
Multinetting is setting up two separate ethernet subnets off of the fastethernet interface of the contivity. Prior to 6.0 code you could only have one subnet...
Thought so. I will contact them and see if we can't take the whole thing down and back up from both perspectives then see what happens.
Thanks. I will let you know.
This is a T1 over a leased circuit between to locations and my side is a Opt 81c and the other is an NEC 2400 pbx. In my end, it happens to be loop 78 and channels 2, 4,5,6,7,13,15,16 are LCKO and the rest are IDLE. They were IDLE and fine until I disabled them as part of a test the other end...
I did a dsch L C on 8 channels on a particular Loop. Then I went to ench L C on those channels and they won't idle up. They end up in Lock out. What can I do to idle them up?
Appreciate it.
We have about 65 sites with branch office tunnels to our central core site with 1010's at all of the remotes. We are also looking at implementing Cisco Call Managers and IP Telephony. My question is whether the 1010's can fully support the IP phones and QOS functionality. Hate to think we...
Thanks. I don't worry to much what Nortel supports and doesn't support. We have never gotten suppport from them anyway. We maintain ourselves or contract out Bell for the tough stuff.
Thanks guys. Will look deeper.
