Hi<br><br>Thanks for the speed of response - I'd agree if the fault was all the time but this is random and on a database in a directory with everybody/all privileges - using the search at msdn yields nothing I'm afraid <br><br>I'll keep tearing my hair out ....<br>robert- falstaff

Using Access 97 on a web site I have been running happily for many years, no problems. Moved website to a new server and all of a suddent I'm getting random erorrs of<br><br>Microsoft ODBC Microsoft Access 97 Driver <br>Couldn't update; currently locked by user 'admin' on machine...- falstaff
