    Ok.I found out what the problem is. Old 3com 3c905b drivers and the 3com DA server software.

    The difference between the 3 NT boxes is that I built the one that works. I had to upgrade the other 2 boxes from SP3 tp SP6a, IE from 4.0 to 6 and MDAC to 2.7. I have also tried the newest Backup build 4454. The two boxes that don't work were built prior to ny arrival.
