I use Access 97 for the front end with SQL server 7 holding the data. For some reason when I come in in the morning accessing the data from sql server is painfully slow, yet after an hour or two the speed picks up. When I come in the following day, I get exactly the same thing. I have no idea...
what I would like to do is when printing a report, send it to winfax and then auto complete the fax number in winfax from a field that exists in access.....
Does anybody know how to do this or whether it can be done...?
when you print a report and it says printing to the printer and you also have a cancel button.
Does anybody know how or if this cancel button can be disabled.
Thankyou..
I am opening a database and opening forms using
DoCmd.OpenForm
and to close
DoCmd.Close
and yes there is quite a lot of coding when opening the forms, clicking buttons on the form, etc....
Sorry for being thick, but if this is the problem how do I get round it.......
I am using Athlon 1800XP, 256mb of ram, Windows 98 & Access 97 through a network and keep getting 'There Isn't Enough Free Memory To Update The Display. Close Unneeded Programs And Try Again' on a couple of machines.
I have looked at the microsoft website and there is an article about this...
i'm running several windows 98 workstations with Access 97 (Office 97) installed with the data stored on the server in SQL Server 7.
keep getting the above error and it seems to happen when the users are all accessing the data at the same time....
Anybody got any idea how to fix this problem???
