While booting sun solaris I get this error:
"Setting default IPv4 interface for multicast: addnet 224.0/4: gateway
hostname
- 1 uncorrectable error"
Then if I hit enter numerous times (not sure if this is needed) it goes through after about 5 min.
Any idea?
It worked thanks,
Wait I just realized now that when you close the app this way it leaves some work undone since it did not exit properly. Is their a way to disable the X?
Have you seen an app. where you click on the X in the title bar to kill the app, the app display goes away, but when you look at the NT task manager the application shows as still running.
Is this a memory leak?
Is their a way to fix it? If not how do I disable the Title bar resize/close...
Does no one use the Solaris gui?
The gui has 4 workspaces, and these are basically different desktops all on once box. I can run 5 apps in one workspace then click on the workspace 2 button and those apps will still run (in WS 1) but workspace 2 will be empty.
I hope this makes sense

Here is the deal:
I want to add a line to my .profile that will start an app called "dpt" in
the workspace called Lab.
Starting the app works fine but how do I get it to start in the "Lab"...
