I am using the page viewer web part to display the web front end of software that runs internally on our network.
most of the page displays just fine, but a couple of functions give the following error in a pop-up:
Several java virtual machines running in the same process caused an error...
i found the answer...a crossover cable...weird.
the device in question is an ATM machine. it basically has a small, old PC inside. no idea why it requires a crossover, but it worked.

all,
I have an 1841 router, I am plugging my laptop into fe0/1. using auto/auto i get link and everything is working fine.
when I plug in a different device, I get no link. I have tried all of the speed/duplex settings. it will go up/up status for a second or 2 but then it goes right back...
actually, I just tried it and it won't let me change the screensaver settings, they are greyed out just like when I try to change them manually through control panel, so it looks like Group Policy wins out.

Question, are the presentation mode settings still subject to group policy settings regarding screen savers, ect or does it override them?
we have an issue with laptop locking due to inactivity during presentations. will the presentation mode overcome that or is it a matter of adjusting GP...
I don't know about replacing both, but I also don't know of a way to verify which one it is...but in fact you have a flash issue, bad spot on it somewhere. that checksum is checking to make sure the full amount of space is actually available, when it finds out that its not, it throws up that...
really? is that all I'm missing? shouldn't eigrp pick it up if its a network that already exists rather than using the network of last resort?

you have a hardware issue my friend, try replacing the flash card.
given that its older hardware, not sure if it has the replaceable flash card sticking out of the front like 2800 series....

All,
I am adding a new 1841 router to the network. MPLS connection via serial0/0/0 and connecting my laptop to fa0/0 for testing purposes.
from int s0/0/0, I can ping across the WAN. From int fa0/0 using advanced ping commands on the router, I cannot ping across the WAN, so I'm guessing some...
All, I have a logitech Clearchat Pro USB headset, worked fine in Vista. Upgraded to Windows 7, not beta. Now, after a reboot sound works through headset for less than a minute then just quits. this is without regard for the application, it can be itunes, media player, youtube video, ect...
All,
I have an HP laptop with built-in modem. I attempt to connect to a cisco router aux port using a modem.
when I dial the connection using hyperterm, I hear dialtone, the number is dialed, then I hear 2 sets of handshake tones, but they never connect. eventually the remote side hangs up...
all,
I still don't know for sure what the issue is.
I checked the bios, usb is enabled.
I called HP, they didn't do much troubleshooting at all, just opened a repair case and asked me to send it in.
I'll follow up with any sort of resolution if they provide details.
thanks for your ideas...
All,
I have an HP Compaq 8510p notebook. working well except my usb ports stopped working today when I booted it up. Its in a docking station, the usb ports on the docking station aren't working either.
In device manager, I can see several of the "usb root hub" entries. Per the HP site, I...
even more strange...on one side, the 6513, I do a show ip eigrp interface. the interface in question shows 1 peer.
I run the same command on the 3560 and it shoes no peers. how does that happen? this only a PTP so there are only 2 connections.

All,
I have a fiber point-to-point connection between two sites. A cisco 6513 layer 3 switch on one side, a Cisco 3560 layer 3 switch on the other.
on the 6513, I run 'show ip eigrp neighbors" and I see:
H Address Interface Hold Uptime SRTT RTO Q Seq
(sec)...
I opened a tac case and they asked me to run a sdm command. It requires a reload to take affect so I'm waiting on that...
I noticed when I run the "show sdm prefer" command as mentioned in the article it doesn't show any memory allocated to PBR.
will post results after I am able to reload...
