I have this same issue, and the only solution I've found posted anywhere is "uninstall IIS and Exchange and re-install".
I'm hoping someone has found the resolution to this problem because I have this issue with a server I'm supporting remotely and don't have the re-install option.

well, obviously they ARE in a format that can be delivered read by an e-mail client, since that is what happens to them if they are in the In or Out queues.

Regarding the archived messages sitting in the Archive, In, or Out, and Turfdir directories, the ones with the random alphanumeric gibberish as names: I know I can view them with Notepad to see the headers and such, but how can I view the message through Outlook? I guess my question is how can...
My last post was in reference to Parcival's post. What he suggests might work, if you're desperate to do this without any further equipment. If you can put the wireless interface on "main machine" and put them both in Ad Hoc mode, you might get online with the laptop...

That's pretty much what I said: the machine with the wireless card has to be your router. The PC4 cannot pass info along from the laptop to the network. It is possible to set up some Windows version to route, but I'm not sure the gateway data to get to the Internet will be work then...
Also, do you access the Internet through a router or a proxy server? On a proxy, it's simple to specify what users have access.

I'm sorry, leonec, but i can't find any info on your problem. I assume you can use the tape drive with other tapes? Clean your tape drive a couple times and try reading the tape, and if that doesn't help then I can't suggest anything else.
Luck.

That's what I'm asking. What data does Exch 5.5 use to filter on? Like you say, the "from" and "reply to" don't have to match each other or the actual address.

Let me add a third question: Is there a way I can import a list of domains to filter out, sort of like a hosts file for e-mail? And can I export my existing message filters from Exchange, so that I could import them elsewhere?

howdy all,
We are running an Exchange 5.5 server. If Exchange 2000 or later would make my problems easier to solve, feel free to tell me but upgrading at the moment is not an option.
My first question is message filtering. I have saved some spam and I can find up to 3 different addresses in...
Is it being delivered to your Exchange Server very late, or showing up in your Inbox very late? It might help to track down the problem if we knew where the delay was occuring.
You can check your Event Viewer for what time specific TCP connections were made to your server to deliver messages...
What's your domain? We can at least check that the name resolves correctly from outside.

I think we need more information on how your users are accessing the Internet before any suggections can be made.

You're trying to connect your wireless laptop through a wireless adapter on a wired machine? The ICS would have to be running on PC4 for this to work. As your drawing shows it, PC4 would have to be setup to act as a router to let the laptop connect to the Internet and the LAN.
I would suggest...
Finding a DLL or an EXE from a leter version of Windows in an earlier version is not unheard of. MS sometimes allows you to add functionality to an existing version of Windows via an update, while it may be included in a later version.
