I have an access database linked to a Microsoft Word file. It was pretty easy to insert the database fields I needed into the word document. I use mail merge to generate a letter for one record in the database. The user enters data in access on a form. They then have to open the word...
I'm just trying to print word documents. They used to print much faster. I've got 192 MB ram. Everything is working great but the printer. When I start printing something my computers performance slows to a crawl. This seems to have happened after the software install for the printer.
I was loaned a 950 Hp jet printer. I downloaded the software from HP for the device driver. After installing, printing documents on my Brother MFC now takes 10 minutes per page. Could adding the device driver for the HP printer have done this and if so how do I fix it?
Thanks,
Bill
I am using this code to force an entry in CHKNUM if PDCHK is entered. Everything is fine till I ok that a check number must be entered. Then I receive the run-time error "You must save the field before you execute the GoToControl Action.
I'm probably missing the obvious but am stuck...
Can anyone tell me if I can lock or unlock a field within a form based on data a user enters on the form?
Also I have an application that uses a current year different from the calendar year. Can I code a value in access that tells what the application year is?
Thanks,
Bill
