    I have also replied to your other thread - I see you are using Novell like me. Try backing out to a previous version of the client. I got it working with 4.81. Hope this helps. Hope this works for you if so it should be raised with Novell.

    Are you accessing your VSS database using a Novell connection? I had exactly this problem with Windows 2000 using the latest Novell 4.83 client. It affected only files with extensions with more than three characters. However, on backing out to the 4.81 client everything is fine.
