Thanks for the advice. I'll try other diskettes, but the same happens when I change HDs... No, neither of them is a Compaq. One is a 1.2 Athlon (Win 98) and the other is a 1.8+ Athlon. Both work fine. Thanks again! :-) ARNALDO

I have a Win 98 machine at home and a XP at the office. The home machine doesn't read the diskettes with the files written by the XP... any clues to fix this? THANKS A LOT :-) ARNALDO

Unfortunately this too didn't work... this is really strange, isn't it? Could it be that the file that contains the colour schemes for Win98 (not the chosen ones, but all of them) is corrupted? Thank you very much :) ARNALDO

I've tried to do what Grapegravy suggested, and yet had no results... I can't apply changes in the display properties dialog box (Desktop - mouse right button - properties - appearance). When I make the changes and press the "Apply" or "OK" buttons, the mouse cursor changes...
