Get number of messages on a queue

Hi, Does anyone know how to get the number of messages on a queue? There are some utility program that SeeBeyond provide, but I'm looking to it with some sort of API from within a Java program. I don't really want to have to exec a program from within my Java code. Cheers.

Write to a queue using Java

Hi, Thanks. I've tried using the JMS API and that's fine. I was wondering if there's a way to do it with the standard queues - not JMS. I haven't seen a way a do it apart from using the multiplexer eWay... but I wanted something more lightweight. Cheers, Joseph.

Write to a queue using Java

Is there a way to write to an IQ using a Java method. There is the Monk function iq_put, but is there a Java equivalent. Cheers, Joseph.

    Using LDAP with SeeBeyond

We're wanting to use LDAP and JMS queues with SeeBeyond. We'd like to hold the JMS queues and queueconnectionfactory info in the directory. Do we have to manually insert this information into the LDAP or is there a way to get this automatically from SeeBeyond? Any ideas? Joseph.
