Actually kind of hard to do, I have another pc but the one I am locked out of is a laptop. Much bigger can of worms to remove its hd :) If anyone knows of something that can be launched off a disk or something to just promote me so I can make the change that would fix it all.

You are correct. I did manage to actually get the machine to stop rebooting when I tried to enter safe mode by hitting f12(just luck I think) but it still requires you to log in locally. I almost hate to ask it but is there a way to login directly as admin something equiv to booting up a linux...

It gets better. When you try to boot into safe mode (this is what I tried first) the machine wont let you boot in safe mode and automatically reboots. Another anal IT trick I guess :) And to answer the first question. I have no login access at all. My standard account which would log me in...

Well I feel pretty dumb about this and I don't want to take this to my IT department and have them laugh at me. I was trying to transfer files from my home computer to my work laptop but couldn't make them see each other. So I changed my laptop settings from domain to workgroup and rebooted...
