    Cannot Mount Database Exclusive

    I am getting this error - Ora-01102 - when starting the db. I am running on Solaris and can see that there is another instance running (using ps -ef). However - I cannot access that instance. Any ideas. Thanks, David

    Oracle Enterprise 8.1.6 - dbms_application_info

    I did not do an export first.  I ddi try to rerun the the procedures including catporc, but this did not help. I finally uninstalled 8.1.6 - deleted all of the oracle directories and reinstalled.  Then I recreated my databases and everyting is working now.
