I just answered my own question instead of doing it during install, after install, use smit to increase logical volume then filesystem same effect as solaris during install but instead do it after install.
How do i customize the slice size or in this case partition size when installing aix. Solaris gives that option on installation of the OS but I don't see similar feature when installing AIX 5 on a rs/6000.
From my experience if an NFS server reboots or there is a network issue normally the client with an nfs mounts errors and looses its nfs mount. Is there a script that can be run on the client side to check and verify that an NFS mount is active and if not tries to reconnect to the NFS server.
I was wondering on redhat linux how many processors does each version supports as in desktop, server, and etc... I have an 8 processor server and would like to run redhat on it but was wondering if there is any special requirements or kernel tweaks.
