    DAO vs ADO

    My database won't connect to VB.  Using Access 2000 and DAO.  When I try I get a run time error, "unrecognized database format"  Everyone tells me to use ADO, 2 more today.

    I have had a couple of people tell me that I cannot use DAO with Access 2000, and that I must use ADO.  No one can tell me why.  All my training has been in DAO.
