In my job whe have one server runing Windows 2000 Server with 25 CAL's. This server is a file server that works only for distribution of MDB files to the software of the company.
My question are:
I take any advantage to change to linux (My win2000 server is very slow)

I'm using CR8 with VB6 to create an utilitie that prints Labels from a database in Access. I am using one printer Zebra 2746 and when i try to print more than one copie of the label it send to printer X print jobs and i want 1 print job. It is possible?

I have 1 Computer with Win2000 Pro and 1 HP DVD-Writter 100i and all drivers instaled. My problem is a speed problem because when i have all processes runing the system takes 2 min. to tranfer 1 file with 973 Mb from 1 comp. to onother. If i stop all the processes for the hp DVD 100i, the same...
I have 2 computers runing win2000 Pro and i try to copy one file with 973 Mb from computer 1 to computer 2. This operation takes 40 Seconds. if i make the inverse operation, computer 2 to computer 1, it takes 2 minutes.
Please help?
