I have this problem :
This morning none of our users were able to log on to the NT domain
All of our servers are running TCP/IP
I've installed Netbeui, removed tcp/ip and reinstalled it, applied Service Pack
Now clients with Netbeui can log on.
But this is not what I want
I can ping all servers...
Have you tried implementing WINS ?
You should install WINS onthe 192.x side,
but don't forget to disable INS for one of the cards, because you will have problems when the server tries to register itself twice.Provide your client with the IP of the WINS server, make sure there is a default...
Well, that's what I was thinking of too, but I didn't had the change to restart the server on the other side, and tomorrow morning I will have the oportunity to test it
It should work right ?
Can somebody explain me how to set a trust over a router and a firewall, using only LMHOSTS (no WINS)

Thanks

Peter

PS : I know that port 135 -> 139 should be open on the firewall, this has been done.
To establish a mirror, you should
1. select an existing partition
Keep CTRL-key pressed
2. select a drive which contains enough space to be a mirror of the partition, but the space you've selected can not contain existing partitions
Now the fault tolerance menu should work
I've found this article on technet :

www.microsoft.com/technet/security/ch04.asp

This solved my problem

Thanks anyway
Peter
I have this strange problem :
for one reason or another, when a user logs on, his login script isn't beeing executed anymore.
I haven't changed anything on the server, no share permissions changed, no rights changed, ...
The only thing I can think of is to restart the server, but that's...
have you registered the user 'on local' or 'on server_name' ?
You should always register 'on server_name', even if you are physically working on the server
