Using KB130913 I found how to stop the conversion of a volume...reversing the logic presented in the KB article, I modified the registry to do a conversion on the next reboot.

If you are knowledgable in Linux, SpamAssassin is great product. Filter the spam out before it ever gets to the E2K server.

I just started working with event sinks in the last couple of weeks.
1) check and double check for typos in your script. I've found that just one typo killed the whole script.
2) make sure you restart the SMTP services after you register the sink.
3) did you 'cut and paste' the script...

My personal opinion is don't use Ghost on your DELL hardware. Although I have used ghost since it was in 0.x rev.; it has crashed my servers on me the last two times I tried to use it on Dell/PERC controllers. Was it Ghost or the PERC?.?.?

to answer for tango... in a pristine world (i.e. you have enough servers) it is highly suggested that you not run Exchange and DC on the same server. Although MS says you can do it ... they also say you can run W2K on 128Mb of ram.
It will work, it's just not the preferred method...

Yes, it is complicated. But the creation of an event sink is the answer that I've found here, microsoft, and other knowledge trading sites.
Do you know of something less complicated?
