    Report changes orientation!!!

We were experiencing the same problem, not only with Access, but also the other Office 97 products. Situation: the default printer (an HP) was changed. In Access and Excel in particular, changing the page orientation had no effect. Orientation could be set to Landscape, but the document (a...

Designing this DB has me stumped

I agree that the Yes/No Answer Scheme can be limiting. I've found that it's very difficult to run any kind of evaluation reports without jumping through hoops when using yes/no. The answers are very helpful. I appreciate the time you both have taken for me. Alas, the 'Powers that Be' have...

Designing this DB has me stumped

I'd like to clarify, that I am not asking for free Professional help in designing this database. I don't want anyone to feel that they are giving away the farm, so to speak. I have tried giving each security area of the software, it's own table, but that turned into a huge relationship mess...

Designing this DB has me stumped

We're creating a database for our IS Dept that tracks PCUsers. The idea is, to give all Managers a Runtime that will allow them to request a User be added to our server, and also which Operating System (yep, we still have DOS users), software etc. Another area is Security. Our Accounting...

Vince, Thanks very much. Worked like a charm. :-> Rhonda

Ok, so there was an error, I want the batch file to continue.

Sorry Wolluf, it didn't work. Your turn Vince. :-) From the looks of the version numbers, there is a big difference between the Win2K Resource Kit file and the XP file. Does the XP version come with the OS, or is it also a Resource Kit file? I'm also curious about using the "-&quot...

Ok, so there was an error, I want the batch file to continue.

Wolluf, You're right. Nothing to lose by trying it. I'm changing the batch (not a big deal), and we'll see how it goes. I will check it tomorrow to let you know. Thanks, Rhonda

Ok, so there was an error, I want the batch file to continue.

I tried adding the /y to each line in the order we discussed: Example: shutdown \\machine37 /c /y /r It still stopped with the same error message: Window Title is "Error" with no mention of the program. Although from the verbage, I tend to think it's a shutdown.exe error message...

Ok, so there was an error, I want the batch file to continue.

My first try will be to add the \y on each shutdown line. If that doesn't work tonight, I'll try Wolluf's suggestion. I'll let you know how it goes, and vote the suggestion that worked. Thanks again! Rhonda [pc2]

Ok, so there was an error, I want the batch file to continue.

Wolf, I'm not familiar with the "'If (not) errorlevel' conditional following each command" you mentioned. Could you please give me more information? Rhonda

Ok, so there was an error, I want the batch file to continue.

Just to make sure I understand, my syntax should be: shutdown \\machine37 /c /y /r Is that what you mean?

Ok, so there was an error, I want the batch file to continue.

    Here's what my batch file says: "C:\WINNT\system32\CMD.EXE /K" shutdown \\machine2 /c /r shutdown \\machine4 /c /r shutdown \\machine5 /c /r shutdown \\machine6 /c /r shutdown \\machine7 /c /r shutdown \\machine10 /c /r shutdown \\machine11 /c /r shutdown \\machine12 /c /r shutdown...

Ok, so there was an error, I want the batch file to continue.

I have created a batch file to remotely restart all the PCs on our network at 11:50 pm each night. I created the batch file, then set up a Task in Task Scheduler to accomplish this using shutdown.exe from the Win2K Resource Kit. The only problem I'm running into, is if a user has powered off...

I want the default Display Settings back!

I have a user, who has managed to change a display setting, that has effected every user on this PC (Win2000 Pro). Whatever this user changed (she can't remember), it has caused windows in our Accounting Software package (run from FoxPro for Windows) to display incredibly small fonts and...

    Linking Foxpro to Access

You're going to love the Access Macro screen. Once you've linked to your FP table, created a duplicate Access table with the added field, then have your append query saved. Create a Macro (you can use the available menu and drop down lists) to run your append query when the database is opened...

Like I said, I'm new to code. Where would I insert this? Thanks, Rhonda

Need Access to insert date in Excel filename when using Outputto

I currently use a macro to run: first a make table query, then a filtered query, then it outputs to an excel file. I'd like Access to give this spreadsheet a unique name without any prompting by the user. I currently have it name the spreadsheet, "needtoorder.xls". I'd like Access...
