Hi Timc to the fileset you need to install for vmstat and svmon is the bos.acct and perfagent.tools respectively. You should find this on the aix cd. Please let me know if you succeded in locating these filesets and if it worked. regards odey

Well my suggestion is to do through the smitty devices pick the adapter this time when you pick auto-negotiate speed change apply changes to database only to "yes". Once that's done reboot the server. Hope this works

if you are trying to set the aix server as a gateway, you will need to turn on ipforwarding. You do this by running <br>no -o ipforwarding=1 on the command line. To retain this setting on system bootup, vi /etc/rc.net and put in /usr/sbin/no -o ipforwarding=1 at the end of the file.
