I have an NT4.0 terminal server running metaframe xpe that is establishing connections to our PDC, but does not drop them. they accumulate to the point of using up most of the server resources requiring a reboot. Has anyone dealt with this.
thanks for your help

I'm assumming your running NT4.0, if so your statement is correct regarding what Microsoft says. Once a pdc always a pdc unless you rebuild it. there is no way to demote you have to rebuild. i would suggest you load sql on another server then move your databases.
hope this helps

We have installed and configured Enterprise Services and it is working across multiple farms. one problem we see, users get a "desktop" window that the app runs in rather than a seamless window. the user can change settings to seamless and then it works fine, but we want the default to...
Thanks Tom, thats pretty much whats hapening, i happened to find whats causing my problem in the IIS lockdown configuration. When you apply the defaults it locks down the Content Folders and permissions. So the xml server can't copy the icons to the nfuseicon folders. Once you remove the...
Has anyone had a problem with Application Icons using Nfuse 1.7 after applying IIS Lockdown. Everything works fine, until you run the IIS Lockdown tool. Then when you add another or change an existing application a red "x" appears as the icon. The application still functions but no...
We are running multiple servers NT&win2k and have not seen what you describe. have you refreshed the screen? my understanding is every connection whether it is an ica or rdp requires a session and will show in that screen.
I'm seeing a simular situation using the CMC in that some users are not...
Has anyone come across issues installing CSG, such as implementing failover, size of server(cpu, memory etc). we are preparing to setup CSG and wondering about any Obstacles any one has come across. thanks for any help
No, because its linked to the user who created the shortcut, if anyone else logs in on that workstation and trys to launch the shortcut it will error out.
Anyone know of a way to create a shortcut of a published app and then push that shortcut out to numerous workstations? we have tried a number of ways, but it always seems to encode the shortcut to the user who created it.
thanks for any help
Found the problem with Citrix's help, it has to do with how you launch the installation of FR2. If you have the CD version or download you can not use the autorun feature. the only way to install is run mfxp001.msi from the MFXP10FR2\MF folder. It worked for us, so we're all set
thanks all for...
No i'm not doing an unattended install, down loaded FR2 from the web, and ran autorun to get the setup screen. selecting either the FR2 or the SP2 install gets the same error message from the installer.
I'm having a simular problem trying to install FR2. I've tried both windows installers as have been recomended, but i'm still receiving an error "Incorrect command line parameters" from the installer (version 2.00.2600.2).
I'm also running W2k with Metaframe xpe
Anyone have any ideas...
