Did this DNS settings change fix your problem niallo32? I'm having the same trouble - but DHCP pushes out a local DNS server to all clients (not a ISP DNS server) so I guess our problem is something else. Just wondered if this fix sorted your problem.
Brilliant - thank you both for your help :)
I totally forgot about the FROM field - (doh) - so at least I have a couple of ways around the problem now.
Thanks :)

Morning!
We are currently starting to have the problem where by some users are needing to have more than one email account within Exchange 2000.
So for example email for companya and companyb all come to the exchange server and get delivered to the end user. Thats fine and works OK - BUT -...
I did a search for this and could not find an answer. This could be due to it being a simple question :) .
Lets say I work for Company A. We own the domain and all the emails are directed to our Exchange server. I have an email address of abc@companyA.com. I pick these emails up in Outlook...
I've gone mad!
Just after I sent this message I checked again and I CAN see everything I expect.
Its the New Year period - I must have over done it and lost brain cells!!
Sorry for the waste of time!!

Hello,
We run XP SP2 clients on a Windows 2000 server run network. Since SP2 has some new ADM files to add more GPO funactionality - I also installed those new ADM files on to our Win2K servers.
However - on my XP machine, under Admin Templates>Network>Windows Firewall>Domain Profile> I have...
I'm glad this thread has sorted some peoples problems out - but - it hasn't sorted mine!
Has anyone got this solution to work on a Windows2000 environment, running XP SP2 on Dell PCs with Outlook 2000/XP as the clients.
I can't seem to get the GP option regarding the firewall to sort our...
Morning!
I have a few (probably basic) questions regardig GPOs. Can someone help me out.
1) Why does my XP Client have more GP options than the W2K server we have? For example - my XP machine has more Windows Firewall options. Not sure why that is...
2) If I wanted to lock XP machines...
Just out of interest - is an Irish Thankyou bigger than an English Thankyou...???
And how come the first part of that KB article works for you and not for us. Did you apply the rule using a Group Policy or manually on the PC?
Cheers

Here is the article you need. It took me ages to find it the first time - and I found it within 5 seconds this time!!!

Hi Angela,
If you search the Microsoft Knowledgebase - and if you look hard enough (and it is well hidden!) there is a article that describes this problem. It seems to be a known problem with Outlook and XP SP2.
Its something to do with the SP2 firewall not letting a protocol through that...
Morning everyone.
Has anyone come across this problem.
Intermittently - our XP machines seem to 'hang' on bootup while the Applying settings/profiles dialogs are on screen. I'd say the majority of the time the dialogs come up then after a few seconds go again and the Windows desktop appears...
Can't really describe this as a problem as such - but more of a hinderance.
Some of our PCs seem to be having trouble with Outlook 2000 in that sometimes when you send an email (internal or external) the email goes into your Outbox and appears to stay there (the Outbox folder is bold). In...
Anyone any ideas if this is possible? If this is the wrong section - then sorry :)
We run a Win2K domain - and run SAV antivirus over about 150 PCs running XP. SAV has started reporting quite a lot of Spyware activity on our network - and 90% of the files it reports are in the temp internet...
