    FVS318 vpn to a PIX515

Has anyone managed to get a Netgear FVS318 to talk to Cisco PIX 515 via a vpn? So far I've managed to get the PIX to return a hash value to the FVS318 but the FVS318 complains saying the returned hash does not match the computed value. Anyone any ideas? Better still some working config examples...

    Automating Outlook using VBScript

Hi, I need to automate adding, deleting, and changing Outlook profiles using VBscript. Has any one any pointers as to where I can find information because I've been searching but haven't been able to find anything close to what I want to do (plenty of things relating to sending emails and...

    How many PIX VPN connections?

Thanks. From the figures you've provided 40 connections will make the PIX cpu 80% (assuming a linear scale). Not alot left for running the additonal 2Mb/s connection! Has anyone any other figures with different numbers of VPN connections to determine whether the scale is linear or not?

    How many PIX VPN connections?

Does anyone know how many VPN 3DES connections a PIX 515 (without an accelerator card) can terminate whilst retaining adequate throughput of 'normal' traffic to keep a 2Mb/s connection busy. We would like to achieve 40 VPN connections in total between 801 routers so; each tunnel is only going...

    VPN3015 inter VPN routing capabilities

Hi, Does anyone know whether these boxes can route between VPN tunnels without requiring external routing. The product documentation says it dynamically updates it's routing tables with all VPN tunnels and that the box itself is capable of performing a routing process. However, I'm receiving...

IPSEC: 801 to PIX with PAT

Hi, Having tried various IPSEC installations (unsuccessfully) I'm now to set an IPSEC tunnel between an 801 router and PIX firewall. This configuration is complicated by having PAT configured on 801 router (IOS 12.2(7b)). The problem I'm experiencing is not being able to establish the tunnel...

    PAT & NAT

In basic terms NAT is a 1-1 mapping, PAT in 1-many mapping. The way the 1-many is achieved, using one IP address on the external interface, to associate a port on to an IP address & port combination on the inside interface. Simular to IP masquerading in the Linux world. Hope that helps. -Maddog

    PIX / IPSEC / VPN3000 Client & Certificates - another catchy title!

Hi, I'm trying to configure a PIX 515, IOS v6.0(1), as the terminate point for an IPSEC tunnel from a VPN3000 Client using Certificates supplied by a Microsoft Certificate Authority Server for authentication. Over the last few days I've been banging my head against walls and now resorting to...

    EAP authentication using PPTP

Hi, I've set up a VPN client/server test rig and currently trying to configure PPTP to work with EAP/certificates (PPTP works using CHAP). Unfortunately, everytime I try to open the PPTP connection a message stating the dialog cannot be openned because an appropiate certificate does not exist...

NAT - Tunnelling IPSEC within a GRE tunnel - has anyone done this

Hi, I'm using L2TP/IPSEC to create a Win2k VPN solution from a client to an Adv Server. In the middle there are some Cisco routers that are performing NAT which is obviously causing problems. In order to overcome these problems I wondered whether anyone has tried creating a GRE tunnel between...

    PIX Failover/ResilienceQuestion

Hi, I don't believe this is possible but I'm hoping someone can prove me wrong! We want a dual PIX configuration for accessing the internet providing standard firewalling techniques including NAT. However, rather than configuring the PIX's in a failover configuration (i.e. one box sits doing...
